Ekaterina Mikhailova is a co-founder and a leading counselor of the two affiliated training institutes: The Personnel Training Center "Klass" and Institute of Group and Family Psychotherapy and Psychology (IGISPP); since 1995 she has been teaching and training professionals both in the fields of therapeutic groupwork and interactive education.
Professor Mikhailova's teaching experience also includes lecturing in personality psychology in the Moscow State University and in theory of groupwork in the Moscow City University of Psychology.
Dr. Mikhailova has been leading training groups for top-level executives in more that 20 Russian corporations (including Federal Bank of Innovations and Development, A&A, Sobinbank).
Dr. Mikhailova's teaching activities include a special interactive course "Training the Trainers" (since 1997), which has been a pioneering project (in cooperation with Leonid Krol).
Dr. Mikhailova is an internationally certified gestalt-trainer (Fritz Perls Institute, Hamburg) and psychodrama practitioner ("Innerstages" Institute, Houston, USA, European Association of Psychodrama). Nowadays Dr. Mikhailova manages educational projects in psychodrama-based groupwork in Vladivostok and Moscow.
Prior to establishing Institute of Group and Family Psychotherapy and Psychology (IGISPP)
Dr. Mikhailova worked as Senior Researcher in the Research Institute of Psychiatry (1980–1992) and Research Institute of Culture Studies (1992–1994).
Dr. Mikhailova is the author of several books on various aspects of counseling, training, couching and psychotherapy including the psychological bestsellers "Vassilisa's Spindle" and "Trifles of Psychology", co-editor of 30 books, not mentioning more than 40 articles in Russian, American and British professional journals.
