Career Development

Purpose of this Course

The purpose of this course is to provide a forum for MBA students to develop and improve skills important for personal success in leadership and career management. In this class, we'll be looking at people's careers, their dynamics, and elements contributing to success at workplace. We will be practicing skills that are indispensable for modern managers. We will be periodically taking sides of employees and employers, so this class should be equally useful for an entry-level graduate, a business owner, a mid-career professional, and an HR manager.

This course is an experiential learning program for those who want to be more successful in managing their careers. This course will equip you with skills, habits, tools, and instruments that contribute to your overall effectiveness as either an employee or employer. The learning environment of the course will consist of both in-class and independent learning. Guest speakers will be utilized to provide a rich and dynamic aspect of this course in addition to the faculty involved. Several group learning assignments will be used to reinforce course material.
